Cannonball Creek Society

Arvada, Colorado

Cannonball Creek Society serves the C.A.R. members from the Colorado communities of Arvada, Lakewood, Golden, Evergreen, and Conifer and out of state too.

Our members enjoy learning about local and Colorado history and nature, celebrate patriotic and commemorative dates, and collecting items to give to local kids in need.

Our Society have led community service projects: sending cards and letters to Veterans, collecting items for the local food bank and animal shelter, learning to care for rescued horses, and making Care kits for kids in hospitals.

Cannonball Creek, as it was initially known in the early 1800’s, was named this because the rocks were rounded and reminded the fur trappers and voyageurs of cannonballs. It was renamed Clear Creek in the 1840’s, and presently runs through downtown Golden, CO.
